With integrated technology like this and a bit of more funding, I am sure such a system can come to full cycle by decade’s end; there is already UAV technology, face recognition technology, disaster simulation, etc., and with military support, it’s only a matter of time really, before we see a real world implementation. amazing work guys.
I don’t really get it. It looks like me the robots went inside and found people who were capable of getting out on their own. They served to show them the way out and not much else. It doesn’t seem like enough to justify all that technology.

They lead them the way out, for searching for an exit on their own would most likely be dangerous. In the future you can expect robots to rescue them from rubble or other conundrums that are not as trivial to rescue yourself from.
